Jennings, Strouss & Salmon is hiring two second-year law students for a 8-week program starting June 4, 2018. The firm provides an environment of collegiality and collaboration at all levels. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated excellent writing and oral advocacy abilities, civic and community involvement, work experience, motivation and initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a diverse background and interests.

In late summer, Jennings, Strouss & Salmon will conduct interviews with second-year law students who are interested in participating in the 2018 summer program in the firm's Phoenix office. The goal of our program is to offer a first-hand view of day-to-day life in a law firm and provide participants with a personalized, meaningful experience. Summer associates will be given the opportunity to work with attorneys in a wide-range of practice areas. Rather than adhering to a strict rotation schedule for which the nature, duration, and depth of assignments are predetermined, summer associates are offered the opportunity to work on a variety of matters from start to finish during their clerkship at the firm.

Summer associates who clerk at Jennings Strouss can expect:

  • Thoughtful Mentoring and Supervision
  • Integration into the Firm's Culture
  • Relevant Training in the Practice and Business of Law
  • Diverse Practice Experience
  • Competitive Compensation

Our summer associate program aims to provide future attorneys with real world experience that will prepare them for the practice of law upon graduation. During the program, participants will be integrated into our collaborative culture and assist with the wide-range of complex and challenging matters. We strive to ensure summer associates feel they are a contributing part of the team and experience the gratification of having participated in relevant work for our clients.
