Phoenix   |   Marketing and Events Coordinator

The Marketing and Events Coordinator will support Jennings, Strouss & Salmon with marketing materials, biographies, photos, pitches, proposals, electronic marketing, events, branding and other marketing activities. This team member must be professional, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, driven, creative, and committed to promoting the firm’s mission and brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, coordinate and implement all marketing, events, and business development activities for Jennings, Strouss & Salmon and B3 Strategies
  • Draft and submit information for nominations, surveys, and listings, including Best Law Firms, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and other directories
  • Attend business and networking events to build firm awareness
  • Manage firm memberships in professional, business, and industry organizations, including maintaining firm profiles on member organization websites and managing calendar of events
  • Update and optimize Jennings, Strouss & Salmon and B3 Strategies websites, using Google Analytics to mark trends
  • Assist with the development, production, and distribution of business development materials, announcements, advertisements, invitations, and other marketing materials
  • Draft and update attorney bios, practice area descriptions, and other firm information for use in business development materials and on the website
  • Assist with the development and coordination of the firm’s advertising plan
  • Seek opportunities for, and respond to, Response for Proposals (RFPs), Request of Qualifications (ROQ), and other official proposal requests, and track and compile activity reports
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and current/prospective client dossiers for business development
  • Assist with attorney, practice groups and industry groups goals, action items and marketing/business development reporting
  • Capture, create, and maintain experience database for each practice/industry group
  • Maintain attorney profiles on Martindale Hubbell and State Bars
  • Develop and maintain marketing lists, contact lists, and client profiles through the use of the firm's CRM, Interaction.
  • Manage the coordination, logistics, and implementation of external and internal marketing events, seminars, and meetings
  • Assist with the coordination and logistics of speaking engagements and presentations
  • Manage logistics and deliverables of sponsorships, including assisting with attendance by attorneys when appropriate
  • Assist with PowerPoint presentations and handout materials
  • Onboard new attorneys by creating draft of bios, integrating client and contact lists, arranging photo shoot, creating announcement, and updating information on applicable websites
  • Update marketing and business development information on the firm’s intranet
  • Process marketing expenses and invoices
  • Managing requests for firm logo and advertisements, and ensure brand standards are enforced


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 5+ years in marketing and event planning, with law firm or professional services experience preferred
  • Familiar with the best and most current aspects of marketing strategy and technology
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work independently and with other teams, and capacity to effectively prioritize projects is critical
  • Solid research and analytical skills
  • Comfortable interacting with attorneys and across departments
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills – writing samples will be requested during interview process
  • Flexibility to attend events on nights and weekends, as needed
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with online marketing tools, such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, and Survey Monkey
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
