Mr. Lassen is an estate planning attorney whose practice focuses in the areas of estate planning and estate and trust administration.
He regularly advises individuals and families in planning for the effective disposition of their property in a manner that minimizes gift and estate tax liabilities. This ranges from preparation of simple wills and trusts to the most sophisticated estate plans involving irrevocable life insurance trusts, family limited partnerships, generation-skipping trusts, minors' educational trusts, charitable lead and remainder trusts, and private charitable foundations. A particular focus has been succession planning for family and closely-held businesses.
Mr. Lassen has also served as counsel to trustees and administrators of numerous multi-million dollar estates and trusts, and he frequently advises fiduciaries (including corporate and individual trustees and estate personal representatives) in fulfilling their duties. He also represents clients in matters involving contested wills and other testamentary disputes.
