Kathryn Busby is an Of Counsel attorney with extensive experience in the health care and health insurance industries. Prior to her present role, which includes directing the activities of the Arizona Association of Health Plans, she served as an executive, compliance officer and general counsel for a large health plan with AHCCCS (Medicaid), Medicare, and commercial health insurance products.
Ms. Busby has practiced in Arizona for over twenty-five years and represented various entities in a variety of health care contracting and regulatory compliance issues, and governmental agency and legislative relations. Her practice has specialized in Medicaid, Medicare, commercial health insurance; healthcare provider regulation, contracting and licensing, and related health care issues.
She also provides ongoing government relations advice and counsel, representation at the State Legislature and before the Executive branch and State agencies, and has extensive political campaign management experience.
