Jennings Strouss Commits $100,000 To The University Of Arizona Law Commons Project
Jennings, Strouss & Salmon is pleased to announce that it has pledged $100,000 to the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in support of construction for their new Law Commons facility.
The Jennings Strouss pledge will be paid in installments of $10,000 over a ten year period. The first installment was presented to Assistant Dean for Development and External Relations, Janet Brauneis, in August 2007.
"It is with great pleasure that the firm supports the continued development and expansion of the James E. Rogers College of Law," says managing attorney, John C. West. "Several of our lawyers are alumni of the College and it is wonderful to give back to the place that has given us so many talented lawyers over the years."
In May 2007, the James E. Rogers College of Law began construction of the Law Commons to recreate and transform the main law building, renovate the three large outside classrooms, and expand and improve the courtyard. The project, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2008, will create new and improved student space and a state-of-the-art library, and will modernize the classroom environment.
"We are thrilled to receive such a generous contribution from Jennings Strouss," says Janet Brauneis. "The contribution ensures the continuation of the James E. Rogers College of Law as a competitive, top-ranking law school in the country."
